Chemport Europe is an ecosystem in Northern Netherlands in which companies committed to the development of a flourishing green chemical sector. These companies, together with knowledge institutions and government are in the process of transforming of the chemical industry. Green chemistry and circular projects get off the ground and with this we are reshaping the economy. Cooperation between parties is key. It works well because we share the ambition to create a sustainable chemical production chains and close loops. By 2050, only renewable energy and raw materials will be used.
The region divides two chemical clusters, Delfzijl and Emmen. The Delfzijl cluster mainly produces intermediate chemicals and building blocks. In Emmen, the focus is on the production of polymers and fibers. In both clusters, an industry was made that gives direction to further innovation and effective cooperation between chain partners for the coming years. Read more about the Chemport Europe ecosystem.
