Preparation Guide

Sustainable Industry Challenge 7-8 January 2020

Get Ready for the Sustainable Industry Challenge

Economic Board Groningen (EBG) is organising an international pitch event, called the Sustainable Industry Challenge – Chemport Europe edition – for innovative scale-ups in the green chemistry, recycling, and green energy sectors. EBG is partnering with various companies in Northern Netherlands for this event. The objective is to find tangible solutions for innovating the chemical and energy sectors. The grand finale will take place on the 8th of January 2020, during Groningen Seaports’ New Year’s reception in Delfzijl.

During this event, national and international scale-ups will have the opportunity to connect with industrial corporates ENGIE, BioMCN, ESD-SIC, Suiker Unie and Teijin Aramid. During the one-on-one business meetings, scale-ups and corporates will discuss the potential to work together in a pilot project. Also, the overall winner of the grand finale gets a cash prize of 100K euros to be used in a pilot to implement their solution into the region.
